چکیده
Abstract The objective of the present study was to determine best phosphite source and concentration control anthracnose its effects on physical chemical characteristics ‘Prata-anã’ banana. Bouquets banana fruits were immersed in solutions containing different formulations copper FCu1 (4% Cu + 20% P2O5), FCu2 22% P2O5) at concentrations 0.5; 1.0, 1.5- 2.0-mL L-1 potassium FK (42% P2O5 27.7% K2O) 1.5 2.0 mg L-1. Controls consisted application pure water Imazalil (0.5 mL. L-1). Subsequently, incidence severity evaluated every three days. end intensity evaluation. experimental design used completely randomized. results showed that sources FCu1, tested not effective controlling anthracnose. influenced by applied. Fresh fruit mass loss is proportional applied concentration.

Endophytic bacterial diversity in banana ‘Prata Anã’ (Musa spp.) roots
The genetic diversity of endophytic bacteria in banana 'Prata Anã' roots was characterized. Two hundred and one endophytic bacteria were isolated, 151 of which were classified as Gram-positive and 50 as Gram-negative. No hypersensitivity response was observed in any of the isolates. The rep-PCR technique generated different molecular profiles for each primer set (REP, ERIC and BOX). Fifty reada...
متن کاملDevelopment of the banana plants 'Prata Anã' and 'FHIA-01' under the effect of paclobutrazol applied on the soil.
Under some cultivation conditions, excessive growth of the pseudostem of banana plants can be considered a limiting factor, and thus, the use of growth regulators can constitute a valid alternative. This work aimed to evaluate the action of paclobutrazol on the growth of the pseudostem of banana plants and other characteristics of their development. An experiment was installed with five paclobu...
متن کاملBanana Peel Physiological Post-Harvest Disorders: A Review
Bananas are cultivated in more than 120 countries and on the five continents in tropical and subtropical areas [7]. Bananas production is the fourth most significant of the world in terms of tonnage, after rice, wheat and maize. In 2013, world production was estimated at more than 106 million tons, of which 2 million produced in Caribbean [8]. However, only a small part is produced for commerci...
متن کاملPost-harvest biotechnology of fruits with special reference to banana— Perspective and scope
Fruits, being highly nutritive, are important component of human diet but they possess very short post-harvest shelf life. As ripen, they become very soft and more prone to injuries, which makes them highly perishable. In India, over 30% of the annual produce is wasted due to spoilage. Hence, there is an urgent need to develop technologies to overcome postharvest losses of fruits. Physiologists...
متن کاملHarvest and Post-harvest Operations
Harvest and post-harvest operations constitute principal constraints to rice production, especially in irrigated systems, because of the larger yield that has to be handled. Post-harvest crop losses of up to 35% have been reported and attributed to inefficiency of manual threshing of rice by small-scale farmers. This leads to poor grain quality and rejection of locally produced rice. The Africa...
